due to it being veterans day, i figured i would post a little blog here about how great my boyfriend truly is.
he is a sailor, and he goes to work, day in and day out. with little to no complaining.
he knows his schedule like the back of his own hand. he gets little sleep.
he never really fully gets to relax. because of some off chance that he might get called into work.
he has been on 3 deployments. for 8 to 9 months at a time. he rarely gets to see his family. or talk to his friends from back home. he sometimes works well over 40 hours a week, for meanial pay.
why would anyone do this?? for thier country. for their families. for thier friends. so they can continue to live free, and safely. (for the most part.)
and while doing all this- he still makes time to be with me and my son. to make us laugh, and ensure we are in a safe place.
i cant even begin to imagine what its like being a sailor. being away from your loved ones for so long.
we are here missing one person, while he is out there missing a good handful of people.
i am proud to be his. and i am proud of him for serving his country. even though i know he doesnt like his job, or being away... i know hes proud too.
im also incredibly proud of my friends, who are currently serving, or who have served. i know a great amount of wonderful people in the military, and id like to thank each and everyone of them personally for serving our country. and doing the job, no one else could or would do.

please keep them in your thoughts, people. dont be a dick. theyre out there busting thier asses in some way or another- so YOU can live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
